The Juniors hits the podium at Hialeah
2011-2012 Coconut Cup South Florida Championship series #5 - Amelia Earheart Park, Hialeah, FL 2-4/5-2012: Wow, perfect weather again, temperatures were in the low seventies with a friendly cloud cover overhead. The 6.5 mile trail was in great shape thanks to the outstanding trail crew at the park and as always the course was fun and challenging with the direction running in reverse of the last round. On Saturday there was a special bonus point Individual Time Trial ran on a shorter and faster course, the top rider was Robert McCarty with a time of 12:42 top female racer in the ITT was Duffy Danish with a time of 16:06. RB Cycles handed out the goodies (over $2000 worth) to the racers, many thanks to them and all of the series sponsors! Top male racer on Sunday was Robert McCarty (City Bikes / McCartytraining.com) and Jennifer Moos (Big Wheel Bicycles) took the top female honors.

2011-2012 Coconut Cup South Florida Championship series #4 - Oleta River State Park, North Miami, FL 1-22-2012: Perfect weather again, temperatures were in the low seventies as the series resumes after the holiday break. The 6.5 mile trail had a mixture of hard and easy trails and like always was challenging. The Friends of Oleta (a newly formed group) had the trails ready for race and thanks to the "In Da House Crew" for helping with the course marshalling during the event. City Bikes in Aventura were the round sponsors and they handed out over $2400 in prizes to the races. Top male racer was Robert McCarty (City Bikes / McCartytraining.com) and Jennifer Moos (Big Wheel Bicycles) took the top female honors.
