Trek South Eastern Regional Championship series #1 - Haile's Trails - Gainesville, FL 3-14-10: Round one turned out to be a perfect day of racing with high's in the upper sixties to low seventies and dry trail conditions, a welcome break to all that have endured a tough winter. The racing was fast and the competition tough as riders from came from all over the country to take on the 5.5 mile tricky Florida trail system. Gator Cycle in Gainesville was the round sponsor handing out over $2000 in prizes and TXTsignal.com was the pro purse sponsor which handed out a combined $2000 purse to men and women pro's plus the added a bonus for the fastest male and female lap time of the day for an extra $400 to the pot. Thanks to all of the series sponsors. Congratulations to all and especially to Ryan Woodall and Kimberly Flynn who were the top male and female riders on the day, Thomas Turner took the fast lap on day at 21 minutes flat, while Kimberly Flynn won the prize for the women. -------------------------------------------------
Cannondale Coconut Cup #6 - Oleta River State Park - North Miami, FL 3-7-10: The final Round turned out to be another super day for racing in South Florida, with temperatures in the low seventies and a dry 6.8 mile Oleta course, you couldn't ask for a more perfect way to end the series. Many thanks to all of the series sponsors and to the ORAA (the Oleta River Adventure Association) as well as the "In Da House Crew", who also did a great job with marshalling the race. Congratulations to all of the race winners and to the series champions, the special awards were recieved by Josh Perez Jr. (most improved) and Jose Fernandez (sportsmanship). Also congrats to Allison Anjos and Jennifer Moos who were the top male and female riders on the day. Congrats as well to all of the series champions, sportsmanship award went to Jose Fernandez and most improved rider went to Josh Perez Jr. -------------------------------------------------
Z Motion Hospice 100K - Markham Park - Sunrise, FL 2-28-10: Another great addition to the annual Hospice Benefit race and Cindy Feeny memorial. A little race came in on Saturday afternoon and made the first couple of laps a bit slippery in spots but then the sun came out and the mild temperatures made for excellent race conditions overall. Thanks to "The Usual Suspects" and the Mountain Bike Patrol who did an outstanding job as usual in shaping up the course and helping with the event. Congratulations to all and especially to Allison Anjos and Gillian Swinscoe who were the top male and female riders on the day. -------------------------------------------------

Cannondale Coconut Cup #5 - Amelia Earheart Park - Hialeah, FL 2-7-10: Round five turned out to be another great day for racing in South Florida, mild temperatures and super course conditions thanks to the hard work of the "In Da House Crew", who also did a great job with marshalling the race. A short track event was held on Saturday and over 60 riders competed on a shortened but fast paced race for extra bonus points. The cross country on Sunday was a fast and flowing 6.5 miles and the yellow wave got the added bonus of racing on the "Little Razorback" section with big dips just to spice things up. Many thanks to all of our sponsors. Cannondale Coconut Cup #4 - Markham Park - Sunrise, FL 1-24-10: The Coconut Cup series traveled to Markham park for the 4th round and the first race after the new year break. Riders were greeted with tough but fun 6.8 mile loop that has seen many upgrades since our last visit. Many of the wooden structures have been replaced along with a lot of dirt work made the course roll very nicely but it still kept the Markham flavor of being one of the most technical courses in this part of the country. Weather was as you would expect in South Florida this time of year, perfect. Many thanks to all of our sponsors and especially to Lee's Bicycle and Locksmith Shop for providing all of the swag to the riders. Temperatures were in the upper 40's at night and the lower 60's during the day, not what you would expect in Miami however it was great riding weather.
