Located between Athens and Atlanta.  This park is a perfect venue for an off-road Triathlon as it has some of the areas best lakes, a fun and fast trail system and a quiet comfortable setting, the trails are built and maintained by the YABA club.  The ½ mile lake swim will start off the event as athletes will begin on East shore and swim out to a point in the lake marked with buoys and then back to the beach.  After exiting the water the racers will face a short run to the transition area to begin the mountain bike leg, which consists of a 10 mile loop.  The athletes will then transition again to the shorter 5 mile run course which will use parts of the mountain bike course plus some dirt road power line sections to finally finish the race.

Last years event was a fun and challenging time and we look for the competition to be at a high level as well as the turnout.  Also if you are in the mood for more race action the 2nd round of the Georgia State Championship series mountain bike race will be held the next day on the same course (go to goneriding.com for more information).

Race is dedicated to Jason David Martter #44 R.I.P.
